When he was 18, he dropped out of first year college and moved out of state, moving to Stockton in California with his sister, Mackenzie, who was 13 that time as she was emotionally abused by their mother. Gabriel lost 3 of his close friends playing Russian roulette in an illegal club where they managed to sneak in with fake IDs. Gabriel survived and got out alive by himself, but he lived with trauma, regret, grief, and loneliness ever since. He told Mackenzie about the things that happened. She had a meltdown and screamed at him to never do it again, so he promised, but still turned out to be passive suicidal.The following year, Gabriel's best friend since first year of high school, Vaughn, went to Stockton to see them and to make amends with Gabriel because he had a big fight with him after the Russian roulette incident. While having a chat about how things have been going, Vaughn told about how he came close to ending his life when his ex got knocked up by someone else, but Gabriel was glad that Vaughn has been taking care of himself. Gabriel introduced him to his sister, and suspected that Mackenzie started crushing on him.Now in the present, at age 23, he has been going into casinos and clubs, with his only real job being a warehouse worker, when he ironically earns more in gambling on weekends.

When she was 10, she already had an interest in certain aesthetics such as alternative, emo, scene, punk, and such. Although having a religious mother who thinks it's all foolish and an "influence of the devil", telling her to go to church. She didn't force her to stop indulging into these interest but decided to despise and neglect her instead, even telling her things like "You're lucky your father and I divorced, he could've been worse than me if he had stayed". When her brother, Gabriel, had turned 18 and Mackenzie being 13, they left the state and moved into Stockton in California, and had given her the first ever alt shirt and accessories.Her brother had been spoiling her, supporting her interests as redemption for their mother in failing to be the mother she's supposed to be, especially for Mackenzie, pushing her to build her self-esteem once more, and he even works hard day and night just to support her school fees. After a year in Stockton, she had met Vaughn, which is her brother's best friend. She would see them playing the guitar and drums together and Mackenzie would peek on them just to get a glimpse of her new crush. She would ask Gabriel so many questions about Vaughn, causing Gabriel to suspect her crush on him.Now she's finally 18 and fully confident, she's proud to let go of her insecurities, often making fun of her own childhood trauma to cope. Despite being a mischievous type, she finally goes to college, majoring in fashion design.

Their lives took a big turn at first year of college, everyone instantly dropping out, indulging into a reckless lifestyle. That's when Vaughn met his first girlfriend at age 20. He was naive when it comes in being relationships, thinking it's all just love and sex. Trusting easily was his biggest mistake, as his girlfriend was knocked up by someone else. Deceived and traumatized, he went back to his hometown in Palm Springs to end it all but a law enforcement kicked him back to the window to stop him.It took a while for him to recover from all the emotional trauma, though he still visited his trustworthy best friend in Stockton to make amends after the friend group crisis. Still continuing college but the more he does, the more he was failing his grades, causing him to drop out at fourth year at age 22. Out of the university, he had spent his days and night drinking, clubbing, hooking up, having one night stands just to cope but none of them had worked. He decided to stop with this lifestyle and take his life seriously with a job at a motorbike dealership.Now at age 24, still working at the same dealership, making connections with people, and growing an interest in riding big bikes on leisure time, his black roots being a sign of progress of his healing.

Hedonism Avenue is a lorebox (lore sandbox) of my OCs who have their whole backstories but has no linear story or following lore afterwards. The lore name comes from the concept of a hedonistic lifestyle which is the priority of pleasure than facing real struggles, and commonly associated with the rebellious life.These characters went through their own traumas, now facing the responsibilities and pleasures that came after it to cope. Gabriel being a part-time worker and gambler in casinos, Mackenzie being a first year college alt girl, and Vaughn being a service technician at a motorbike dealership.
